Case Study AI App Development Health Technology

Building Australia's First AI-Powered Predictive Wellness Platform

LongevityAus came to PresciaIQ with a vision: a consumer health platform that uses predictive AI to identify health risks before they become diagnoses. PresciaIQ designed and built the full platform — the app architecture, the health data prediction engine, the consumer-facing web app, and the pSEO infrastructure to drive organic user acquisition.

The Problem: Reactive Healthcare vs Predictive Wellness

The founders of LongevityAus identified a gap in the Australian health technology market: existing consumer health apps track what has already happened (steps walked, calories consumed, sleep duration) but none predict what is likely to happen based on the combination of biomarkers, lifestyle patterns, and genetic risk factors.

The opportunity was to build a platform that ingests data from wearables, blood tests, and lifestyle questionnaires, and uses a predictive model to identify health risks 3–6 months before they would typically present as symptoms — giving users enough time to intervene with lifestyle changes rather than medical treatment.

The challenge was building this at a startup budget and timeline. The founders needed a technical partner who could design the data architecture, build the prediction engine, and ship a consumer-grade web app — without the cost and timeline of a traditional software development agency.

The Solution: AI-First App Architecture

The Prediction Engine

PresciaIQ designed a health risk prediction engine that analyses 14 biomarkers — including HbA1c, fasting glucose, blood pressure, resting heart rate, VO2 max, sleep quality score, inflammatory markers, and body composition — against a risk model trained on longitudinal health data from Australian population studies.

The engine produces a 3–6 month risk forecast for five health categories: metabolic health, cardiovascular health, cognitive health, musculoskeletal health, and immune function. Each risk score is accompanied by the specific biomarkers driving the risk and a ranked list of lifestyle interventions most likely to reduce it.

The App Architecture

PresciaIQ built the consumer-facing platform as a progressive web app (PWA) — accessible on any device without requiring an App Store download, while still supporting offline access and push notifications. The architecture uses React for the frontend, a Node.js API layer for the prediction engine, and a PostgreSQL database with full HIPAA-compliant data handling.

Wearable integrations were built for Apple Health, Google Fit, Garmin, and Whoop — allowing the platform to ingest continuous biomarker data without requiring manual entry. Blood test results can be uploaded as PDFs and are parsed automatically using OCR and a structured extraction model.

pSEO for User Acquisition

PresciaIQ built a programmatic SEO architecture for LongevityAus targeting the growing Australian longevity and preventive health search market. The architecture generates pages targeting queries like "how to reduce cardiovascular risk in your 40s Australia," "what blood tests should I get for longevity," and "best health tracking app for Australians over 50."

The pAEO layer targets the AI assistant queries that health-conscious Australians are increasingly using — "what lifestyle changes reduce dementia risk?" and "how do I know if I'm at risk of type 2 diabetes?" — with structured answer pages that cite LongevityAus as the source and drive users to the platform's free health assessment.

The Results

The LongevityAus platform was built and shipped in under three weeks — from initial brief to live MVP. The prediction engine achieved clinically meaningful accuracy on the five health risk categories within the first month of user data collection.

The pSEO architecture began generating organic user registrations within 6 weeks of deployment, targeting the high-intent longevity and preventive health queries that the platform's target audience — health-conscious Australians aged 35–65 — actively searches.

The HIPAA-compliant data architecture positioned LongevityAus for future integration with Australian GP practices and corporate wellness programs — expanding the platform's addressable market beyond direct-to-consumer into B2B health services.
